The only "nice-to-have" which I did not yet find a solution for is the ability to trigger a function either by pressing both buttons at the same time or holding the right button for a longer time.

In the new app version 2024-11-08 released today, you can trigger different actions with a button click, double-click or hold. This also works with MIDI buttons that send control change or note messages. You'll see this option when you click Settings > App Control > Actions > [action name] and then select Foot Switch (Keyboard) Messages, MIDI Controller Messages or MIDI Note Messages. Note that using any double-click actions will slow down the response of click actions by a half second and using any hold actions will slow down the response of the click actions by a second.
