Layout Issues on Dargon X10 Tablet (Android 4.4.4)

Since the last major update of the BandHelpder App, the custom and pre defined layouts are not working anymore. The "handle" to increase or decrese the size of the set list seems to be gone and some layouts are just desplaying a mess of pixels in the upper portion of the screen.
We have tried to reinstall the app and also deleted the app data completely. we have also tried to build our completely new layouts after installing the new version of BandHelper again but without success. i have managed to create a new layout showing only the document of a song which was working. but as soon as i added a button to toggle the set list to show / hide this button doesn't do anything when pressed.

any ideas?

You need to select an item to activate it and show its resize button and other options.

some layouts are just desplaying a mess of pixels in the upper portion of the screen.

In general, I don't recommend reinstalling the app since there is almost always a less destructive solution.
