Recordings in iOS 10+
« on: October 12, 2016, 09:24:38 AM »
iOS 10 and later requires your approval to access the recordings in iTunes. The first time you run Set List Maker on iOS 10, it will prompt you to approve access to the media library. If you decline, all the recording buttons in Set List Maker will be disabled and nothing will appear in the Add Recordings window.

The solution in this case is to open the Settings app, go to Privacy > Media Library > Set List Maker, and manually enable that setting.

It looks like iOS 10.3 or 10.3.1 requires you to repeat this approval, even if you previously approved it on iOS 10.0.

Is there some magic to this for Bandhelper? I just get options to add recordings from iCloud or Dropbox and the Bandhelper app does not appear in settings as you describe for SLM

I'm only n iOS 9.3.5 as I have an iPad 3

BandHelper doesn't use iTunes for recordings, so the iOS 10 access restriction doesn't affect it at all. Several options for adding recordings in BandHelper are described here:
