Lyrics View

Newbie here. I'm presently using android smart phone to view the bandhelper app. When I see the song I've uploaded and press the volume icon, I can hear the song but no lyrics show. And when I press the lyrics icon I can see the lyrics but the song stops. I'm playing backing tracks from mp3s. I'm on the trial basis. Steep learning curve to understand bh program. How do I enable split screen to view the lyrics as I hear the backing track?

I suggest trying the different predefined layouts to see which one works best for you. You can then add your own layouts if you want, but the predefined layouts should do in most situations. More info is here:

I'm now using a Samsung tablet android. When I go to layouts and try different options, here's what's happening. If I go to Big Lyrics - Portrait, next page is to edit layout, then the lyrics show and when I press the play icon, the icon disappears. Then I try the Big Set List Portrait, and it shows the title of the songs and the play icon. When I press that, the song plays and I hear it but no lyrics showing. When I go to Split View (which is what I really want) I can see the titles on the left, and the lyrics on the right. When I press the play icon, it disappears and no song to hear. Not sure what to do, I know I'm so close ...

You would only go to Repertoire > Layouts to manage (add, edit, delete) layouts. To actually use a layout, go to Repertoire > Set Lists, choose a set list, then choose a layout.
