Midi may not send correctly at the beginning

we have a problem and we haven't got it under control yet. My band mate works with SLM on his iPad. I have another app on my iPad and let the SLM control me via midi. Our problem is that it doesn't work at first. It usually takes between 5 to 60 minutes before it works. But then it runs flawlessly for many hours. What we noticed so far -> With the SLM, song 1.1.73 is saved as MSB / LSB. In my iPad, however, it arrives as 0.1.73 (according to the midi monitor). Is such a mistake known? As I said, strangely enough, it does work after a while. But we don't find the error here. I would be really grateful for help.
