Song edit button sometimes not available in iPad app

Sometimes the song edit button just isn't available, even if online. Why might that be?

Are you using multiple layouts and the song edit button isn't included in all the layouts? That's the only legitimate reason. If that doesn't explain it, please submit a help ticket:
