In the new version released this morning, non-chord notations in the chord lines won't be a problem if you put them in parentheses.

In the next version, I'll add options to hide those parentheses when displaying the chords, and to hide the square brackets when displaying bracketed chords inline.

The new app version 2023-09-19 has Settings > Appearance > Hide Brackets When Inline and Settings > Appearance > Hide Parentheses Within Unbracketed Chords.

It also has Settings > Advanced > Use Old Chord Recognition, which you can turn on to reactivate the old code. You could use this if you need more time to adjust your songs for the new approach. But I will no longer attempt to fix bugs with the old code, and it might go away again in the future.
