What is "View Document" in "App Control Section" supposed to do?

Hi guys,

I am currently trying out the 'App Control' functionality.

For markers there are the commands 'View Page/Marker 1', 'View Page/Marker 2' etc. and the general command 'Page/Marker Number' which allows you to select any page/marker with an additional parameter.

For documents, there are the 'View Document 1', 'View Document 2' etc. commands and a 'View Document' command.

I would have expected to be able to select any document using 'View Document'.

I have tried all possible MIDI commands, but somehow nothing works.

Does anyone know what the View Document command is supposed to do?

Kind regards

"View Document" will open the default document, which is either the first document or the document number set at Setting > General > Defaults > Document.

If the document viewer is hidden, "View Document" will open it first. In that sense it's similar to "Show/Hide Document Viewer," but the latter won't revert back to the default document if you have previously selected a different document. It will only change the visibility of whatever document is currently selected.

Hi Arlo,

thank you for the detailed explanation.

Now it is much clearer for me to understand.
