I'm in the process of setting up a karaoke rig and I'm trying to get my layout to show the lyrics on the external display and PDF chord charts on my iPad.  I am able to do the opposite (lyrics on iPad, charts on external display) but not the other way around.

Any guidance appreciated.

It sounds like you already set Settings > General > External Display > Content to Doc +1. Now you need to edit your songs and rearrange the items in the Documents sections so the charts are first and the lyrics are second.

Noted.  Any way to do that en masse?  Looking at 120 or so songs.

No, you would have to do that for each existing song. As you add new songs, you can set that up that way when you add the lyrics and charts.

In testing this I ran into a new wrinkle: there doesn't appear to be a way to scroll the lyrics on the external display while showing the chart.  Is that the case or is there something I'm missing?

Hmm, I'd have to look into options for that. Meanwhile can you post an example of your PDF charts?

Okay, if you can set up your device to show that chart so you don't need to scroll it (probably with the device in portrait orientation, with the Fit To Height setting on), then you could start the auto-scroll function and that should auto-scroll the lyrics on the external display without affecting the chart on the main display.

Currently there is no way to manually scroll the external display if it's showing different content than the main display. I can put that on my wish list. Meanwhile, if that's something you need, you would need to use separate devices for your chart and your lyrics. In that case, you can change Settings > General > Defaults > Document to choose which to show on each device.

Appreciate your time.  I know it's a weird use case but I knew this would be the fastest way to get there
