Lyrics on external display overlapping

Greetings.  I've used BH for a quite a while but just getting started using an external monitor (FWIW an older Apple Cinema Display attached to a MacBook Pro through a HDMI to DVI adapter, so the MacOS version of BH, Version 2025.01.27 (169)).  The goal is to provide a larger version of the lyrics for other musicians in a rehearsal room.  I'm getting some bizarre behaviour which I'm not sure is a fault in my setup or a bug.

After I set up the external display inn Settings>General>External Display>Content>Document setting a floating document window appears on the Mac screen which I then move to the external display (set up in the Mac's display settings as a side display, not mirroring).  I maximize that window on the external display.  The lyrics display as expected but they sometime don't scroll even when the document field on the Mac display does OR they scroll on the external display but the original non-scrolling version stays as well so the text is doubled and overlapping, one version fixed, the other scrolling.

Even more bizarre is when I go to another song the fixed, non-scrolling version of the first song displayed stays on the screen while the new song's lyrics also overlap, scrolling or not.

Has anyone had this issue or can see a fault in my set up?

NB: slightly different issue but I updated to the current MacOS version of BH before posting this and when I now try to get the Mac to follow actions from the iPad I actually use when playing it can no longer seem to find the iPad in the Settings>Live Sharing>Follow actions from... dialog.  Just get a spinning wheel there.

I've seen this as well and it seems to be a macOS bug. Based on my testing, you can avoid it by opening the secondary window from the Window menu before viewing a set list rather than letting the app open it for you when you view a set list. If you forget to do that and the problem happens while viewing a set list, you can close the secondary window and then open it again from the Window menu.

Please post a separate thread or help ticket for the second issue.

Thanks Arlo, I'll try what you suggested.  It seems I can get it to work sometimes though I haven't nailed the sequence down of what makes it work but what you've suggested seems related.

Also no need for to post the second issue as restarting BH an the iPad seems to correct the problem the Mac was having after it's update.

Thanks again.
