Editing Notes

Stage Plots change over time. Accordingly, Notes might change over time as well.
One can edit each Note - good.
One can copy a Note, then edit the copy - good.
One can make the old copy of a Note inactive - good.
However, the notes displayed on the Stage Plot itself do not update with the new info - BAD.

What am I missing? I've even relaunched the app after editing notes, but the old info is still present.

Is there a way to delete Notes from the Stage Plot and re-add them? There seems to be no control over the Notes box other than position.

If you edit a note, then edit and re-export a stage plot that uses that note, you will see the new note text on the stage plot.

If you copy a note and edit the new copy, then stage plots that use the original copy of the note won't change.

Also if you export a stage plot, then edit its notes, the file you exported won't change.

If that doesn't answer your question, please submit a help ticket and include screen shots showing the problem.

Thanks Arlo - I'm sorted now.

I think I got confused between editing the Notes in <project>::StagePlots::Notes vs <project>::StagePlots::StagePlots::<stageplot>::EditDetails::Notes. They seem to operate differently from each other, which I found counterintuitive.

Okay, Stage Plots > Notes lets you edit the contents of notes and Stage Plots > Stage Plots > [stage plot name] > Edit Details lets you add those notes to or remove them from a stage plot or change their sequence on the stage plot.

Editing the note content separately from adding them to a stage plot allows you to reuse the same notes across multiple stage plots, rather than typing the same note again if you want to use it on a different stage plot.
