Hi Arlo,

All is in the title, it could be great to get the option to calculate the total time of a Set even if a song is on nothing in the time field. It could be then considered as "0".

Songs with no duration will use the Default Song Duration from the set list Edit Details page. So you can set that to cover any songs where you haven't entered a duration.

Do you have songs that are supposed to have a duration of 0? If so, you could set them to a duration of 1 second and that would be close enough since set durations are rounded to the nearest minute.

Ok perfect !

Yes, I have sometimes one song divided in 2 or 3 parts to manage the audio player controlled by midi. Sometimes because it's divided in 2 parts, sometimes because there's a middle part with an audio loop. And because I want to use just one physical midi button to control play / play next or other, I need to assign different midi command to the same midi line , so I do it with the same song divided.

Hope to be clear...

In the past I was using two midi buttons, but I don't like to think "which button should I press to exit the loop" for example when I go to the next part after an improvisation. I need to have something instinctive.

I don't understand how your description of song loops and MIDI buttons relates to your original question about calculating the set duration. Did I answer your question?

Yes and no. Because the result is the same if I enter 0.1s in a song or in the setlist details : the song with this little timing , in the case of chained songs, change rapidly to the next song. But I need this song wait for my midi signal to start the automation and then go to the next song.

Anyway, that's not so important, I just need to calculate the total time of a Set but for that I enter 0.1s in the details of the set to know it and then remove it.

You can't enter 0.1 seconds as a song duration. Do you mean 1 second?

In your last message, I think you're talking about using the Select Next Song On Song Completion function. If you don't want that to run after the song duration, you can turn off Settings > Advanced > General > Trigger Song Completion From Duration.

1) Yes 1 second.

2) Great, that's exactly what I need. Thanks a lot
