Identify Songs, that are no included in any setlist

Hi Arlo

Is there a smart way to find songs that are not included in any setlist – ideally even across different projects?

Here's my situation:
I play in several projects and created a "master project" where I keep track of all songs, set names, breaks, contacts, etc., so I have one complete overview. The problem is: Currently only the song list can pull in content from "all projects." Things like set names don't work this way. Maybe there is a plan to have that "Include all projects" button for contacts, set names, breaks, etc. as well? That'd be great to avoid the "master project" :)

I know that each song shows at the bottom which setlists it's part of. I also tried creating a smart list with the condition "Part of = "nothing"," but that didn't return the correct result at all.

What I'd really like is:

  • to identify songs in the database that have never been added to any setlist in any project.
  • if that's not possible, at least to see within a project which songs have never been used in a setlist (and I can figure out the overlaps between projects myself)

Would it additionally be possible within a smart list to see in which setlists a specific song was already included? I was thinking about sorting the list by setlists. That would obviously require a song to appear multiple times I think. That's probably not easily possible, but maybe there's a workaround available for that as well?

Last but not least: How is BandHelper identifying if and when a song was played? I saw on the smart lists there is an option to count how often a song was played. But do I need to tick off the songs during the shows or is it recognizing a song on a setlist with an event and date assigned to it and if it's in the past it was played? Then we could probably use the smart list to sort by when the song has been played last and that would already solve the above issues?

Any hint on how to approach that would be awesome.

Many thanks,
Chris

Yes, which means you can make a smart list with a filter "Frequency Performed equals 0." That doesn't seem to be doing anything, though. I'll look into that next week.

Ok, I think once the "Frequency Performed equals 0" works again, I think that is the function, that I was looking for :) Looking forward to your findings.
