Tutorials don't match what is on my screen

I just installed the app on my iPad and signed up for the free trial.  Now when I go to watch tutorials or follow the instructions on the BandHelper website, the instructions and screen images do not match what I have on my screen, some are not even similar. So many tutorials show that you begin with the "repertoire" option, which I do not have. Can anyone tell me what is different?  Do I have the wrong app or does the trial version not have normal functionality?  See attached.

I also can not figure out how to delete those 3 sample song entries when creating a set list. There is no delete option, no trash can icon.
