This has been posted by others before.
The past post mentioned a mismatch between the exporting device and the import device.
Attempting to update my phone to the latest version; still getting  " . . .  Does not appear to be a valid database file  . . . ".

Appreciate help; may have misread the past post. T. Y.

Is the app version on the device you're importing into older than the app version you exported from?

Did you rename the database file after exporting it?

Those are the two most common reasons for this error.

Yes, the phone version was probably older.
I should have checked the specific version before I updated the phone. 😮
And yes, I changed the name of the database.
I seem to have compounded my own errors.
I'll change the name back and see if that work.

The phone version may still be different than the originating tablet.

I changed the name back to the original name; import worked.
