edit Laoyut: untappable Field Slots

I got a new iPad. I created a new Split View layout. I want it to largely match my regular layout on another iPad. This would include the four field slots in the footer giving me Current Time, Key, Tempo, and Duration.

The fourth slot was defaulted to Title+1. I found myself unable to tap it to be modified.

In trying to get things to work, I somehow managed to change field slot three to Tempo+1. At that point, it jumped over to the right half of the footer (fine). However, once it moved over there, I am no longer able to tap it.

What's going on here? What am I misunderstanding? Any attempts to tap either field slot 3 or 4 end up defining a new floating field.

The +1 and +2 fields, which are positioned on the right, should be clickable the same way as the fields on the left. Do you have those fields partially covered by the document viewer or some other item?

Issue is resolved.
