Problem with Chords Not appearing in layout

i have been using the same layout for several months with one of my band projects, for original songs I have entered chords for a number of the songs. Suddenly now, the chords do not show up at all in the layout. I have not changed any settings or fields within the layout (it is a slightly modified version of the "More Buttons" layout), I have an important show coming up later this week and am at a loss for how to restore this function. Any suggestions?

Quick edit - I deleted and added the document field back in, I can get the chords to show now, but only after I tap the doc field. How do I set it so that they are always visible, and not require "tapping" the field for the chords to show?
