Help With Auto-Scrolling Lyrics

The auto-scroll function (hereafter A-S to make this more readable) works in its basic programming when I click the A-S icon in the dropdown menu on a lyrics page. I have songs where the default timing doesn't work, and need to adjust the pre-roll and ending times. I would also like the A-S to work without having to click the A-S icon in every lyric sheet throughout the night... in other words, I'd like it to A-S automatically if there is a start/stop point directing it to do so in the song data page. Note that all songs have a Duration set on the Song Data page already. I've read posts here, and the automation information and links on the BH site, but I haven't been successful in getting anything but the default method to work. I have tried the following methods without success:

Setting an "Auto-Scroll Pre-Roll" and "Auto-Scroll Duration" on the song data page: I have set these numbers in the Song Data page, saved, and then synced the app on my iPads. It has no effect at all, though clicking the scroll icon on the lyric page will make the lyrics scroll at the default settings every time.

Automation Track: Just for fun, I set the scroll times into an automation track, without success. I assume something must be reading that track for it to do something, but I thought it was worth a try.

There are two possibilities: I am doing it wrong, or it can't be done; I'm pretty sure it's the first of those options. I'm looking for insights either way, and open to try anything you guys think will work.

Basic info: Working on all IOS or OSx devices, on most recent firmware they will use (some are new, some older), but the issues are consistent on all devices.  Thank you in advance.

You're talking about testing this "on the lyric page" -- do you mean in the set list view?

To start auto-scroll or other functions automatically when selecting songs, please see the App Control tutorial:

Hey boss! What I mean is that when a song is selected from the set list and it populates the window, you select the lyrics (I have them both in the song data "Lyrics" window and as a pdf document attached) so that the lyrics are up as the song is playing. I need to be able to start the scroll at a specific point into the playing of the audio file (in seconds normally, but it could be minutes.seconds), and end at either the end of song, or at a preset end point or time. It would be cool if there was a "rate" function to control scroll speed, but I didn't see that anywhere.

If I pick the dropdown item with the lyrics up in the app window, it will do the default scroll. That works for most songs, but not all. Sometimes I need it scrolling from earlier or right at the kick off! I'd really rather be able to set a lyrics auto-scroll for every song as a standard when I do them online in the Edit Song page of the online manager. Is thing possible, or am I misunderstanding auto-scroll?

Reading the tutorials, this seems a simple setting in the song data page, but when I enter it there the scroll doesn't follow it. I'm going to read the app control info you sent and see if it's there. Thank you for taking time to answer!

App control is for starting the auto-scrolling, not for controlling the auto-scroll timing.
