Title: Finding Smart Copies
Post by: JerryK on February 19, 2024, 04:11:12 PM
Any chance of a way to find/identify Smart Copies, please and not just Hide them?
Either in the Songs filters or a Smart List filter.

Were they not indented or something, once upon a time?

I can add that to my wish list.

Meanwhile, you can find smart copies for a specific song from that song's edit page.

Smart copies used to be indented when they could only be sorted and filtered with their parent copies. Now that they can be displayed independently, that no longer makes sense.

Fair enough but currently a long job to find possibly unnecessary Smart Copies for tidying up.  I tried spreadsheet output too.
I have a Tag for that but I will have missed a few; and others contributing may have missed more.

I think in most cases the name of the smart copy would have the same name or at least the same start of the name as the parent copy, like "Freebird" and "Freebird (acoustic)." In that case you can sort by name and see the smart copies grouped with their parent copies.
