A Set List Maker user just sent me this thread stating that the Alesis iO Dock doesn't support outgoing system exclusive messages:
http://community.alesis.com/alesis/topics/io_dock_doesnt_send_sysex_messages_is_there_a_fix
Can anyone else confirm this? If it doesn't support SysEx, I'll remove it from my recommended hardware page.
The only similar product I know of is the Behringer iS202:
http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/iS202.aspx
Can anyone confirm whether that supports all MIDI messages? If so, I'll add that to my hardware page instead of the iO Dock.
Yes, I can confirm this for the first generation iO Dock (30 pin connector). This is true for both the USB MIDI port and the 5 pin DIN connectors (they are not distinguished internally and show up as one Input/Output "Dock" in Core MIDI apps). Very disappointing indeed, but I would recommend not to remove the iO Dock from the recommended list because there are a lot of use cases (e.g. remote control of SLM by MIDI messages) where you usually do not need SysEx at all. A warning about this limitation should be enough.
Thanks, I just added a warning to the Hardware page.
It's a known issue that Alesis ioDock doesn't support Sysex transfer. You could use the Behringer iStudio instead.

Are you sending sysex messages through it?
