Title: BandHelper Clock to Garage Band? - or how to use my iPad as a drum machine?
Post by: realmacsummrs on September 13, 2024, 09:32:34 AM
Hi Folks,

Quick run down of the use case:  5-piece rock band. I'm the keyboard player.

Looking to send a unique audio signal with "more than just a click" through to our mixer-sometimes it will be in the FOH mix as a 'second percussionist' and other times it will just be routed through to our drummer's monitor mix.

Would love to just use the Drum Machines/Beats in Garage Band as the source audio - but I need GB to get its clock signal from BandHelper.

Is this possible?

Yes, if GarageBand can follow a MIDI beat clock, you can easily send that from BandHelper:
