Title: Copying Program changes from 1 device to another
Post by: Darug on October 29, 2024, 04:35:01 AM
Hi, So I have 2 Synths. One I use for gigs and Practice, the other sits at home doing...not much. Both are Roland DS units.
Ons is a DS61 and the other is a DS88.
I have all the Mido Presets setup for my DS61, but want to know is there a way of copying all the Midi settings Info from my DS61 to my DS88, as essentially, they should all be the same. I have nearly 200 songs, so I would like to avoid doing it by hand.

If you're going to send the same data to both keyboards, I suggest setting them to the same input channel, then renaming the "Roland Juno DS61" MIDI device to "Roland Keyboards" and changing its channel to the channel that both keyboards use. Then the same MIDI data will change whichever keyboard you're using.

Wow. Seems like an easy solution. ;)
