Title: Bug: MIDI presets not saving to songs
Post by: Insider0203 on April 05, 2025, 07:44:38 AM
When adding a MIDI preset to a song, the preset will not save. This happens when editing a song and manually saving.

This does not happen when going to the MIDI presets and using the new "add to song function" or when editing from the website. I have screen recording the bug in action

I tried to submit a help ticket but I kept getting an error message saying "cannot find account"

What platform are you using (iOS, Android or website) and what are the steps that lead to the problem?

iOS 18.3.2 on an iPad Pro 11 inch (a series chip)

It happens when editing a song only, whether that be through a setlist or the repertoire homepage

This bug still occurs in the latest bandhelper version.

Can you list the specific steps you're taking that lead to the problem?

When editing a song from the "songs" tab on the home page, I go to add a midi preset. I select the preset and attach it to the song. I save the song and everything looks good at this point. Then I load a setlist or smart list with the song and the MIDI preset is not attached. I go to quick edit the song from the setlist to confirm it's not there.

Editing the song from the quick edit button in setlist/smart list produces the same bug. I view a setlist, select a song, hit the "edit song" button and attach a preset. When I go back to the setlist, the preset is not saved to the song like it should be.

What does work is going to the MIDI presets menu, selecting a preset and using the new "add to song" function.
The website editor also works. So it seems this to be strictly with the edit window for songs.

This is on a 2018 iPad Pro 11 inch, 64GB, WIFI only model with an A12x chip running the latest iOS firmware.

I have screen recordings of the bug in action. If you can fix the help ticket issue, I can send them to you there.

Thanks, I'll try those steps to reproduce it.

I don't see a problem with the help desk. Are you using the correct URL?

https://helpdesk.arlomedia.com/arlomedia/

Can you send a screen shot showing the problem?

I just tried and this is the error message I keep getting. I've tried every possible email, including ones I've used for previous help tickets

I figured out what was wrong with the help ticket. My browser's autofill was filling in the email field at the bottom for looking up a previous ticket. I needed to leave that blank.

I filed the help ticket now with a video

Okay, this was an issue with the new simplified interface option. That's fixed in today's 2025-04-25 release.
