Hello all :)
I know bandhelper is no sampler/sample player. But i saw an older post (cant find it anymore) of someone talking about triggering a few one shot samples for using in a song. I already figured out how to set it up.
So my question is: Is this possible without latency (=very small latency)? Using my android tablet or phone has to much of latency.
Did anyone tried this successfully.
Thanks!
You can turn on Settings > Audio & MIDI > Low-Latency Recordings. On Android, that doesn't change the recording playback, but changes the recording buttons to fire on touch instead of on release. On iOS, that does reduce the recording load time but uses more battery power.
Thank you Arlo!
Unfortunately I already had this activated.
Is there any other thing i can try? Will an audio midi interface that is class compliance make a substantial difference?
Thanks again!
I don't think adding an external audio interface would help. The audio file processing still occurs on the tablet.
If you're a keyboard player, you might be able to load your samples onto your keyboard and then use MIDI buttons in BandHelper to trigger them. But I don't know how the MIDI latency would compare to the audio latency. I think it would be better with USB MIDI than with Bluetooth MIDI.
