Is there a way to have notes related to a song that are user based? Like the singer wants to have the first line, but others want other things (like Drop D, or effects pedals, etc).
The simplest way is for users who want personal notes to turn on Settings > Account Sync > Personal Sync > Notes. Then a Personal Notes field will appear for them on the song edit page.
If you want more structure or want to share a note among multiple users, you can go to Repertoire > Custom Fields and add custom fields and assign them to any combination of users.

I was trying to do this last night, but it wouldnt allow keyboard access to any of the other users. Do I have to change their permission settings to allow it?
I currently have everyone set to "can add and edit information they add" because I had a band member accidentally edit a song file for everyone and I want to make sure that doesnt happen again.
What do you mean by "wouldnt allow keyboard access"? Please state the problem in terms of what buttons someone is clicking and what they see when they encounter the problem.
When they would touch the screen in the notes area the keyboard wouldnt pop up to type something in. I had to grant full access to allow their keyboards to enable.

Im also having trouble finding a 'notes per user' function. Does that exist? Where everyone makes their own notes that only they can see? Right now anything typed into notes by any user shows up for everyone.
To use the Personal Notes field, users will have to turn on Settings > Account Sync > Personal Sync > Notes.
If you have only given the users Added Data editing access, they will not be able to edit shared fields but they will be able to edit their personal fields.

This app does so much I get lost in it.
Is it possible to add a box to the lyrics page to view personal notes? I only see an option for the regular notes.
If you add the notes button or the notes field to your layout, it will show shared notes, personal notes or both depending on what has been entered.

Okay, good! Regarding breaking something, note that you can undo most edits from the Admin > History page of the website or the Setting > Account Sync > History page of the app.
