It's been almost two years since I announced the end of new features (http://forum.arlomedia.com/index.php/topic,3563.0.html) in Set List Maker and a shift of more resources toward BandHelper. For those of you who are still using Set List Maker, here are some things you've been missing by not switching:
- A built-in web search for lyrics, chords, song facts and video links that automatically copies and pastes into your song.
- Drawing annotations on the Lyrics field and embedding images into the lyrics.
- Defining a custom sequence of document markers, so you can jump up and down in a document with a single "next page" action.
- Adding markers to recordings to quickly jump to a location in a recording.
- MIDI/OSC presets that can send both MIDI and OSC data.
- Sending predefined messages through Live Sharing, like "5 minutes left" or "More lead vocal in monitor."
- Live layout guides for layouts and stage plots, to help size and align items.
- Editing layouts and stage plots on the website, for easier positioning than on a small screen.
- Editing automation tracks on the website, for easier editing and copying between songs.
- A reorganized App Control page, and a button to turn auto-advance on and off from the set list view.
- Separate app control actions for a foot switch click, double-click and hold.
- App control actions controlled by MIDI continuous controller messages (e.g., move a fader to scroll a document).
- Shortcuts to edit the current set list, document, recording or MIDI preset from the set list view.
- A chromatic tuner in the set list view.
If you want to see this for yourself, the BandHelper app now includes a demo account you can explore, with no registration needed. And I've improved the process for migrating your Set List Maker data into BandHelper; instructions are here:
