Title: {Comment: Text} Chordpro
Post by: damianjosephadams@gmail.c on March 25, 2026, 03:33:03 AM
Hi,
I understand Bandhelper has its own formatting rules;
But would it be possible in your parser when importing Chord pro files to Substitute {Comment: Text} to # Text
also would it be possible to allow setting a global colour setting for headings.
Thanks

{Comment: Text} is converted to Text (in bold)

You can mark headings like:

# Heading

And then control the display of the headings from Settings > Appearance. The only heading color you can set is gray (with the Headings Fade setting), but selecting other heading colors is on my wish list.

In the new app version 2026-06-12 released today, the Headings Fade setting is a Headings Color setting.

Also, you can now define styles on the Repertoire > Text Styles page, and set Map to ChordPro Style to Comments for one of the style; then that style will be applied when importing a ChordPro file that contains a {Comment} directive. Similarly, you can define styles for ChordPro verse, chorus and bridge directives.
