Title: Reassigning data owners for 'Editing: Added Data' users
Post by: Blainew on May 21, 2026, 06:30:39 AM
I'm setting up a new account primarily for gig management. I want to add my band-mates as regular users with the 'Added Data' only permission setting.  The idea is that they will add their own gig contacts / events to own the flow for each gig themselves, but without the ability to overwrite each other's data.  The "Added Data" permission looks perfect for this.  However, I want the ability to prepopulate some contacts/events for them, particularly while we get started.  But that locks them out of editing those entries without "Add Data" access.

Is there a way to reassign the 'owner' for contacts and events so that I can create a stub entry and then "assign" it to them to take over?

No, you cannot change the user that added an item. But I'm not sure you have the right idea for bandmates to "add their own gig contacts / events to own the flow for each gig themselves." There should only be one event added for each gig; you wouldn't want every bandmate adding a separate event for the same gig.
