SO CLOSE!
It's working great from the iPad -> Android over the phone's wifi.
The only issue is the screen on the phone won't rotate to Landscape.
It's going to be connected to a Projector that's too far from the iPad to connect too.

Do you have the screen lock on in the Android device controls panel?
I didn't realize that setting had been changed.
