Title: Can't import ImportSongs.txt via email attachment!! What's wrong?
Post by: 80sMan on January 24, 2016, 03:46:08 AM
Hi,
I've created a vb script to massage my large song directory into a importSong.txt file containing tab delimiters columns as difined. I sent the file via email as an attachment however aren't able to 'send to' setlist maker to create my new database?? Tried other ways however all I get is 'copy to' setlist maker which copies the file to the document folder?

What am I doing wrong? Is there any other way to import both ImportSongs.txt and importMidi.txt to setlist maker??
:'(

Are you using the iOS or Android app?

The function to copy an email attachment into an app does not have a label in iOS (so I'm not sure where you're seeing "copy to"), but it is referred to in documentation as the "open in..." function. It sounds like you have done that and the file is now accessible to Set List Maker, so now you can proceed with tapping the Import button in the app to import the contents of the file.

On the email attachment eg. ImportSongs.txt if you touch and hold the icon what's presentened is a number of apps. Message, Mail and Notes followed by Copy to setlist Maker.

Im stuck can't import at all. Does any ones else have the same behaviour??

You tapped the Set List Maker icon to copy the file into the app, right? Then what happened?

I could take a video to show you exactly what happens and email to you if it helps. Maybe another app on my iOS causing issues not sure. Use to work however over the last few upgrades something may have changed.

After you see the confirmation that the file was copied, you have to import the contents of the file using the import button at the top of the Songs list. The import button's icon is a document with a + inside it.

No, it has always worked this way. I'm glad you're making progress with it now.
