Title: Copy multiple objects and copy Midi Presets with song
Post by: Duplobaustein on May 11, 2016, 07:18:44 AM
Hi!

1. Is it possible to select multiple objects? If I want to copy Midi Presets to another database I have to do it one by one and that takes a lot of time. Same with songs.

2. is there a way to copy songs with all attached files (Documents, Midi Presets,...)?

Regards!

1. No, you can only copy items one at a time between databases. If you find yourself wanting to copy a lot of items, it's worth asking whether you should have separate databases, because this will require that you maintain multiple copies of a lot of data. BandHelper goes a step further by letting you share items between projects, so you don't have to maintain multiple copies, and letting you select multiple items to assign to projects.

2. Since documents and recordings are always shared across databases, a song copied between databases will retain its links to documents and recordings. It will not retain its links to MIDI presets, custom fields or tags, since those items are specific to each database.
