For the built-in Lyrics field, or for an attached document?

I am open to the best case scenario for making Black backgrounds on my Lyrics.
what are the pros and cons comparing the two ways we can enter our lyric data?

As I am just starting my data entry I would like to know what is best practices to use, it looks like formatting is very limited in lyrics view yet this could lead to a very consistent workflow..
I have not had success it uploading .docx files with black backgrounds on white text and I am not sure I know what the issue is.
I am on IOS.

Thank you !

Pros and cons of lyrics versus chords are here; note that lyrics will follow the color scheme of the app, meaning they use a black background if your app does:

If you are using Word files on iOS, iOS doesn't render the background at all, so you should set the file up with white text on a black background but also change Settings > Appearance > Word Document Colors to Inverted to add a black background in the app.
