Title: Format chord
Post by: Bkpgeral on January 25, 2018, 11:06:33 AM
Hi, here in Brazil some chords are represented differently from the international standard and so BandHelper does not recognize it. ex. C7M = C7+ and Cm7(9) = Cm7/9
Any  chance of making these nomenclatures compatible by the app?
Thank you

What is C7M, is that the same as Cmaj7? Is it really written that way, or did you mean to say CM7?

Adding the parentheses as an alternative to the slash seems okay since that seems more widely used.

yes, C7M = Cmaj7 and I also prefer Cm7/9 than Cm7(9). It was not me who created these other formats, but many websites use them by default. And that way, I have to manually change each chord in dozens of songs. Grateful for the attention.

Thanks for the examples. I'll look further into this when I work on the next app update.

Okay, these alternate chord names are now supported as of yesterday's release:
