Title: Best foot pedal?
Post by: chuckpuckett on March 05, 2015, 07:18:38 PM
As I keep trying to get timing tweaked so that correct lyrics show up at the correct time, it becomes more evident that I'll eventually need to invest in a foot pedal to control scrolling.

I'd love to hear from those who use pedals to control SLM: recommendations, what distinguishes them, best buys etc.

Thanks in advance for any input.

I'm very interested too in getting a foot switch to better control scrolling lyrics ...not that my tempo changes,ok maybe a little, but more so I often get the audience participating ... if they get into it, then I'll drag it out ... so song duration varies.

Anyhow, I'd like to know anyone's experiences with remote foot pedals - pros and cons.

I have some options listed here, and if you buy from these links, I get a small referral fee:

AirTurn also has a new pedal just released last week:

Wish I had known about the "get a free ebook" offer  :-\.
Bought the BT-105 from Amazon last night. It looks like a workhorse

The AirTurn people are pretty cool, if you email them they might still set you up with that.

Here's a sort of inquiry w.r.t. BT-105:

I need to be able to go to Next Screen (this allows me to control for extended lead breaks, etc)
I need to go to Next Song (this allows extended segues)

I can't think of anything else. But would love to hear how other people use these devices.

Are there other likely scenarios that would actually warrant the 4 pedal version? I guess I'm trying to suss out what capabilities and functionality might be possible/really helpful that I haven't yet imagined. Would rather re-order and obtain needed capacity now rather than regret later.

I think you can add one or two more pedals to the BT-105 later if you need them. The receiver unit is the same and has two jacks that, with splitters, can support two pedals each:

But of course buying it all at once as a bundle is cheaper.
