Title: Bandhelper with my complex keyboard setup
Post by: Ralph on May 10, 2015, 01:27:41 PM
My setup with bandhelper on a iPad mini retina. Bandhelper sends program changes true a Iconnectmidi 2 to The Korg Kronos that is in setlist mode. And Some switches from The pedalboard go through mainstage back to bandhelper to switch songs up and down and scroll my lyrics and chords .

The Korg Kronos switches all other MIDI gear like the Nord stage 2 the MBP with mainstage and the x32 rackmixer . Mainstage controls everything Again as Back-up so i Will be Shure all my midi gear is in the right patch.

The reason that bandhelper switches only the Kronos has 2 reasons. One if bandhelper or my iPad crashes i can select all my patches from The Kronos touchscreen and second i have Some songs that have more patch changes i step through them with my pedalboard switch without changing The song in bandhelper.

Nice setup. Wow, that Kronos is some hefty (full-featured) workstation!

What is the foot pedal?

Any performance videos you'd care to share?

Thanks.

The foot Pedal was a original NI rig Kontrol 3. I had some problems with it to connect. Sometimes I had to restart the Mac work properly . I changed the electronics inside and used a Korg nano control board for it . I connected  the wiring to the led, switch and volume pedal and made some extra 1/4 jack inserts on the back for extra expression and sustain pedals. On the side is a neutrik USB  for a solid on the road ready connection. The funny thing is now I can use it direct on my Kronos if I need a small setup.

Not yet ,maybe in the future.

Thanks.
