Other Help / Disable Song Details from List...
Last post by vttom - June 07, 2025, 08:25:44 AM
I want to modify the Song List view so that when I click on a song, it DOES NOT bring up the details view. The reason being that I have metronome and playback buttons enabled on the song list, and sometimes when I click either of those icons it brings me to the details view. I don't ever want to go to the details view. I always want to stay in the Song List view. Is this possible?

Hello Arlo,

We have 6 ipads all with varying resolutions. I made custom layouts for each one and made sure we were able to see the same information on the screen. We are running into issues at the end of a song where the lead device will get to the end but all of the other ipads following actions from, will be missing the last two lines. They can manually scroll down to see the rest of the content. Is there a better way to make sure all devices show the same information and scroll at the same time?

It looks like the auto-reconnect message wasn't closing after finishing the reconnection. That will be fixed in the next update. Until then, you can watch the lead device to see when your device reconnects and then click Cancel to close the message.

An alternative to using the auto-reconnect is to manually disconnect before putting your device to sleep and reconnect after waking it up again.

Arlo,
Here are som more observations regarding the live connecting ipad issue.

- IPad follow actions from iPhone.
- IPad goes into sleep mode
- Wake up iPad
- Log file shows activity (see screenshots)
- iPad shows error prompt that does not go away - only option is to press 'cancel'
- However iPad is still following actions from iPhone ?!?

- If both devices are following the others actions, then most of the time iPad does no longer follow iPhone actions... even though log activities imply that it does reconnect and 'Connected devices' field still shows iPhone and iPad connected!?!
- only way to make both devices follow each others actions again are to disconnect both devices and reconnect both devices again! :-(

Account Help / Re: Is there a way to rename t...

You can go to the Admin > Account page of the website to change the account name (which you use to log in) and the display name (which you see after logging in). If you change the account name, you will need to go to the Settings > General page on any device you're logged into and enter the new account name.

You can also go to the Admin > Users page and deactivate (not delete) the other users, then go to the Admin > Billing page, change the account size to Solo and pay for a month at the new price, which will move you to a cheaper subscription price.

Account Help / Is there a way to rename the a...

I created an account and paid a subscription in my first band, but they kicked me out, and now I would like to continue my use of bandhelper, but I get a constant reminder of the old band, since that was the name of the account.

Is there a way that I can rename an account? Either myself or through a help ticket? Does anyone know?

Sorry for the confusion, but it is a bit complicated.. The original tracks were only for me to sync lights and backing tracks - we added the cue track for the rest of the band so I wouldn't have to click them in on every song (and they cried like babies about having click all the time). This is why I have the crazy audio routing..

I am thinking about ditching the MDB-USB and connecting to my X-Air 18 as it is self powered (not powered by the iPad over USB, which I think may be part of the problem). That way I can pick the channels I want and route them from the mixer without having to use the headphone jack at all.  Alternatively, I'm thinking adding a powered USB hub could help.

It seems confusing the way you're splitting both recordings across both audio interfaces. It also seems confusing to send the same data ("Band in-ear cues") to two outputs, and to send two kinds of data ("Recording 1 right (Click)" and "Recording 2 right (Band in-ear cues)" to the same output ("Headphone left") -- but maybe the latter is a typo and should read "Headphone right." I don't know if any of those things is actually a problem, but for me personally it makes it kind of hard to wrap my head around what you're doing.

I think it would be more logical to combine the click track and cues into one channel and the backing track into the other channel of a single stereo file. Then you wouldn't need multi-route audio. Or if you wanted a stereo backing track, or separate outputs for click and cues, you could have the backing track as one stereo file and the click and cues as another stereo file. Then you'd need multi-route audio but one audio interface could go to FOH and the other to your IEM system.

Getting back to the problem, can you clarify what you mean by "headphone jack overrides the USB or vice versa"? What specifically is happening that shouldn't happen?

Currently I've been using 2 recordings and routing them as follows:

Recording 1 Left (FOH mix) - MDB-USB 1 (Left)
Recording 1 right (Click) - Headphone left

Recording 1 also has a MIDI tied to it which drives our lighting via Photon2

Recording 2 left (Band in-ear cues) - MDB-USB 2 (right)
Recording 2 right (Band in-ear cues) - Headphone left

Recording 2 is typically mono

USB Output goes to a Mackie MDB-USB direct box

Again this usually works fine, but Murphy's law always kicks in when you don't have time to fart around with connections.. ;)
