Repertoire Help / Re: Automation End marker auto...

The End event is added automatically after the last event you add, or after a recording or video duration if you add a Play Recording, Play Specific Recording or Play Video event. If this isn't happening for you, please submit a help ticket and include the steps you are taking that lead to the problem.

Pauses and breaks will display with the same layout as songs, and normally all the song buttons are hidden but you can now turn on Settings > Advanced > Show Song Buttons on Breaks and Pauses. If you don't have Multiple MIDI Buttons in your layout, you can still send your pinned presets from the single MIDI Button, or an app control action like Song Selection or a foot switch message.

Repertoire Help / Automation End marker automati...
Last post by JerryK - April 15, 2024, 08:49:41 AM
Unless I missed a trick, adding the end marker to an automation track is a bit tedious, certainly when there are hundreds of songs.
I think it's always needed, once you start using automation, certainly if I want to show the waveform of whatever track, usually the default track, including event marks, particularly if I want to see that they exist in the current song (live).

When a Recording is added to an automated song or automation is added to an existing one, could the End marker perhaps appear automatically, at the end?  Maybe plus (settings) a second or two?   Or maybe a button for that?  Or a setting to always happen (or move to) after the last 'thing' of any kind, probably including the longer of Recording duration or Song duration?

Otherwise, it's a long hold of the Coarse Time "+" button, on every song added or brought up to date.

Thanks for considering (or telling me what I missed)

A-ha.  They show up if I'm displaying Presets in the layout.  I had imagined them showing up in the fairly empty Pause screen.
Fair enough.  Sorry for any panic or distress.

I don't normally display Presets in 'Gig' mode, just in 'edit-at-home' mode because the hardware more-or-less does that.  So these showing up just on Pauses/Breaks in the Lyric space would save Gig screen real-estate on the iPad.

FYI - I'm not seeing it at this time.
I updated to v 143; 2 Midi presets are pinned to all pauses (and all breaks for test purposes).
OS 17.4.1
Re-started app again, no change.
Web site is very slow right now for Presets and Pause names (maybe more).  I thought I'd look, in case my changes were not there because of website speed reasons.  Changes are there.

No panic - I'll look again tomorrow.

In today's version 2024-04-13 release, you can turn on Settings > Advanced > Show Song Buttons on Breaks and Pauses. Then edit a MIDI preset and select the Pinned To All Pauses option. Then when you view any pause, that MIDI preset will be available. If you select this option for multiple presets, they will appear in alphabetical order in the pauses. The presets will not send automatically when you reach a pause, but you can send them from the MIDI button or from an app control action like Settings > App Control > Actions > Send Pinned Presets = Layout Actions > Song Selection.

In today's version 2024-04-13 release, you can turn on Settings > Advanced > Show Song Buttons on Breaks and Pauses. Then edit a MIDI preset and select the Pinned To All Pauses option. You cannot pin different presets to different pauses -- that wasn't needed for most of the people who requested this, and it would have made the setup much more complicated -- but you can send a specific preset from among the pinned presets if you select it manually using the MIDI buttons or the Send Pinned Preset 1-10 app control actions.
