I'm sure I'm missing it... Tempo adjustment per song/recording?

I know where to adjust pitch or volume per song (meaning so that it saves it with the song and plays it that way every time for that specific song/recording), but cannot find a place to adjust tempo per song. I see where I can adjust the tempo bar on the setlist screen, which resets with every song selected (which is my workaround at the moment) but it seems there would be a place where you can set that with the song information and save it so that the song (meaning the recording attached to the song) would play at the new tempo every time it is selected.

Am I missing a setting somewhere? I've seen posts on midi mapping to change tempo, but not something to save with the song for the tempo at which the recording plays.

Thanks for any insights.

To clarify, you're asking about setting the tempo for a song, but that's a different function, which works like a metronome. The terminology BandHelper uses for what you want to do is changing the speed of a recording.

You can only do that on the fly because that function is meant for slowing down, then gradually speeding up, a recording while practicing.

Arlo,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I realized while I was typing that I was likely jumbling two words (Song/Recording) that have a different meaning here. Apologies for that.

Yes, I see the functionality of the on-screen controls in the set list. But much like you might have a track (recording) that is a touch too loud or needs pitch adjustment (two controls already existing in the recording control functions) it would be nice if a tempo adjustment for playback of the recording attached to a song could be there as well. Sometimes the only track you can find has a bad tempo, and it's been a struggle to get the tempo adjusted using a DAW. If you could add a tempo +/- control under the recording edit screen in the set list song edit list, it would be perfect. Perhaps just something that would automatically adjust the setlist fader for that song only, if that's possible.

I hope that is a better explanation. Thank you for all the awesome things this application already does! I can't imaging how much of your life has been invested in making it so.

I can put that on my wish list. But for backing tracks used in a performance, I recommend making any pitch or speed adjustments in an audio editor and adding the altered file into your BandHelper account, rather than applying those changes using BandHelper's functions, for the reduced latency and better audio quality.

Thank you, sir.  I just need to improve my DAW skills in that area.
