Hi !
I am new here and went to SLM to have all my lyrics and chord charts with me on the iPad (4).
Hadn't been easy with SLM (and still isn't), there are a lot of issues I've been (and am) struggling with.
One of them :
Adding lyrics (not documents !) to SLM.
The manual (referring to the internet manual) says :
"You can type directly into the field, or copy and paste lyrics from a web page or a document"
But unfortunately no word about that should be done . . .
It took me days until I had found the solution accidentally.
Simply double tapping in the middle of the lyrics window . . .
Arlo, this should be worth dropping a line in the manual !
The advantage of the lyrics window in my opinion is that I can fit the lyrics properly into the iPad window without needing the computer.
The text files need go to Good Reader via iTunes from where they can be copied to SLM.
Hope this can help some other people.

Cheers
Gerhard

I don't know what you're referring to here. You stated a solution of double-tapping the center of the lyrics window (I'm not sure what part of the app you are referring to as the "lyrics window") but you didn't state what the problem was.

If you have another problem, please describe it using the guidelines on this page:

Sorry, I had meant "lyrics field" at the song page ( I hope that's right).
The problem had been that I didn't know how to paste text into the lyrics field due to lack of a button.
Hadn't found any advice, neither in the videos nor the help pages.

To paste into a text field, you would tap and hold until the copy/paste menu appears, then select Paste from the menu. That's standard iOS functionality. Does that answer your question?

Gerhard_H

Yes, thanks a lot !
Standard iOS functionality - that's what I'm (dumb Windows PC user . . .) not familiar with.

Great, hopefully it won't take too long to feel comfortable with the iPad.
