SLM crashes when the recording ends. Happens with two different audio files.
Has this also been fixed?
It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing.

What platform are you using and what is the format of your audio file?

joepno

iPad Pro with .mp3-files.
No problems with the same files on my iPad4.

Is Settings > Audio & MIDI > Multi-Route Output turned on on either device? Is Help > Utilities > Use Old Audio Engine turned on on either device?

joepno

Multi-Route Ouput turned off on both devices
Old Audio Engine - on for ipad4, off for ipad pro

Crash occurs on ipad pro only when iMidiPatchbay and bs-16i was loaded too. No crash when SLM runs alone.

Switching ipad pro to "use old audio engine" solves the problem.

Is that what you would ecpect? What does the old audio engine do? Us there a disadvantage in any other respect?

The old audio engine avoids a known but so far unaddressed bug in iOS that causes a crash at the end of some MP3 files. The other workaround is to re-encode these MP3 files with different audio software; iTunes seems to work fine for this.

The disadvantage of the old audio engine is more latency when starting playback, less accurate tempo clicks and no inter-app audio.

joepno

Thanks. Understood but what is the relevance of inter-app audio with SLM?

You can use it to send audio directly to mixer or DSP apps on the same device.
