I've noticed that feature-requests are supposed to be entered into the bug-reporting tool. It is impossible to know what other users request when there is no public search and general read-access in that system. Hence, I wonder if it still is acceptable to raise feature requests in the forum too? I find it a bit disingenuous to try to prevent the user community from discussing their wishes and needs. I assume this is not intentional

I don't have a problem with posting feature requests here. Just remember that these are vastly easier to track if you post one idea per thread rather than one thread containing lots of separate ideas. It's also best to follow this formula for explaining your needs:

I don't publish my wish list mainly because it would take more time to manage a public copy, and I prefer to be as efficient as possible with administrative work to save more time for development.
