accidentally imported a sample data base. need to try again

I admit it. I'm totally lame with computers and this is driving me nuts ! ! I'm trying to move everything for SLM to BH. I think I'm on my way. I finally was able to get as far as getting the data sent to my email and saved on my computer as a 'plist' file.
But before I did that I made the mistake of installing my 'sample data' and now it won't let me install the right one.
Pulling my hair out here. Can someone please help? I've sent a request to redo my data.
