No Connected Port - Midi message not being sent

Hi All -

I have setlist maker 6.0.3 / iOS version 12.3.1.  I wanted to use my iPhone 7 plus as a backup. I imported my database from my iPad. When I connect my iRig to the phone, it will not transfer the midi message. When you click on midi button within a show, another screen appears titled "midi status". What do I need to do to get it working?

The MIDI button in the top toolbar opens the MIDI status window. To send a MIDI message, you either need to click the MIDI icon for a song (use a layout that has this, or edit your layout to add it), or edit the layout to send the MIDI automatically when you select a song (Layouts > Edit Details > Actions > Send MIDI).
