Hi

I am trying to use a Roland SPD SX drum pad when playing live. I have created a midi connection that changes the kit autmatically.

Until now I have only been able to define the tempo having to start the metronome in Bandhelper, and wait for Roland to sync...

Anyone who knows if I can send the tempo as data through midi? Like I send the number of what KIT being used?

There is not a standard MIDI way to send a tempo as a one-time message, but some devices define their own, non-standard way to do that. If the SPD SX offers an option like that, then you could likely send the required messages from BandHelper.

Ok, thanks Arlo, I will look that up and see if it is possible to send information there.

I've had a similar problem withe efforts to pre-populate a Roland BK7m arranger with tempo information but no luck - the Roland BK doesn't support this action in MIDI
