MIDI backing tracks
« on: June 24, 2021, 12:52:36 AM »
Tried searching for this but not found an answer. I have a number of MIDI drum loops which I would like to trigger from my footswitch. I have some MP3’s for full backing tracks which work fine, but for those I don’t I would like some drum sounds to fill things out, and keep me to time!

Are you asking how to play a looped recording?

Looped would best if possible, but I could make a drum track with a MIDI editor if I needed to. Just some way to provide a more interesting accompaniment when I’m playing. I have a rudimentary drum loop, but I can find no way to play IT within SLM, ideally triggered with a footswitch.

You can play Standard MIDI Files the same way you play MP3's. See "To play music from a Standard MIDI File" on this page for more info:
