Font keeps reverting to Proportional

My wife and I share an account and use the iPad app. We both have Monospace, Sans-Serif set as our font preference. But for both of us, after a few days it always reverts to Proportional, Sans-Serif and have to go into settings to change it back. Any ideas what's going on?
