Ipad Mini 4 sluggish suddenly

Hi,
I feel after the most recent update the app is slower than even other apps on the ipad - compared to things like spotify.  Of course it works fine on my larger newer ipad. 

Before I run off and buy a new model- are there any options in the app I can disable to maybe have it be a little more responsive?   

An example is a couple second delay on opening and closing most screens. 

Or is it just time to upgrade?

It might help to describe a specific example of the problem.

But the iPad mini 4 was introduced nine years ago, so I would expect it to be fairly slow overall. I regularly test with an iPad Air 2, which has similar specs to your device, and an iPad Air 5, and the Air 2 has always been noticeably slower.

I'll probably just update to a recent model. But I am curious - does the number of projects, songs, recordings midi presets, etc. have any impact on the performance?

Or whether or not you have a WiFi connection?

The number of songs would affect how quickly the Songs list displays, the number of recordings would affect how quickly the Recordings list displays, etc. But data that you're not currently viewing shouldn't matter.

Having a wi-fi connection or not wouldn't matter, except when the device is actually syncing, that could slow things down, and the device can't sync when there's no Internet connection -- so perhaps the app would feel faster when there's no wi-fi.
