Hello, I´ve got a problem with customizing control of BandHelper by Cube Turner pedal on my Android tablet. The turner is paired and it´s working by default as expected in all apps, i.e. it scrolls down/up the page in the Portrait mode and selects previous/next page in the Landscape mode. However, I´d like to set it to Start/Stop Auto-Scroll and Start/Stop Recording on the down/up arrows instead. I set it all up according to the Settings > App Control page and it looks as it should I think, but it still only works in the default mode and won´t start either Auto-Scroll or Recording.

After trying the foot switch buttons, please click the app control button (foot switch icon) in the top toolbar and look at the Activity Log. What appears there?

Done. It shows the default commands, not the programmed ones  >:(

Your screen shot doesn't show any messages received from the Cube Turner. Please view a set list, press the Cube Turner foot switch buttons and then send the Activity Log again.

I recorded it so that you can see exactly what I´ve done. Sorry for the portrait orientation

It looks like the Cube Turner doesn't send keyboard or MIDI messages like every other foot switch I've seen. Apparently it overrides the touch screen somehow and simulates a swipe on the screen. But it also looks like you can change this from the Cube Turner app. Please try that and see if you can set it to send key messages like Up Arrow and Down Arrow. Then you can use those as triggers in BandHelper's app control settings.

If you can't figure out how to do that or the Cube Turner can't do that, you could try one of the foot switches recommended here:

That´s interesting, I´ve been using the turner (mine is actually branded as LEKATO Wireless Turner, but it´s the same as Cube Turner) without the Cubesuit app, just paired over Bluetooth, and it worked in the "default" mode as documented (this default mode is called "Touch Screen (Android)" in the Cubesuit app).

So I´ve installed Cubesuit and quickly tried switching it to what they call "Keyboard A" mode (= Up/Down and Left/Right Arrows) but it havent´t worked and no activity has been shown in the Activity Log.

The next step I can try is using the MIDI mode but I´d have to figure out which commands I should use first.

Do you get the same behavior as before, after changing to the Keyboard A setting, or a different behavior?

Vladi

I get no response in the "Keyboard A" mode, nothing happens at all.

You could open a text editing app like a notes or email app and click within multiple lines of editable text. Then press the foot switch buttons. If it's working and connected to your tablet, the cursor will move up/down or left/right within the text.

Sorry for the delay in answering. Unfortunately, I´ve been unable to make it work in any other than the default mode, which I haven´t been able to set up to initiate BandHelper commands. I´m giving it up and I´ll return the page turner to the seller. Thanks for your help!
