Could it be, that my Bandhelper account is too huge: 14 projects, ~2500 Songs overall, at least the same number of Docs (maybe more, because of multiple users with own docs)
Whenever I set up a new device, it needs multiple times to start the sync to complete and after that multiple restarts of the app til something will be displayed.
The problem occurs with my account, but also when I set up new users who only have access to a single project. Espescially when using an older iPad, e.g. iPad 5th or 6th generation.

I have seen older devices crash when doing the initial sync. Restarting your device before adding your account to the device would clear up as much memory as possible to help with that. If you still have a problem, please submit a help ticket and I can temporarily adjust your account to do the initial download in smaller chunks.

BTW I ran a quick report and found that your account isn't even in the top 10 for number of songs. The largest account has over 16,000 songs!

Yesterday I set up Bandhelper on a new iPad 9th gen. Logged on with a user have access to just two of my projects. The initial sync runs about 40min. Wondering about ~150,000 items?! However, when finished I wasn't able to open a list. App was frozen, and after restarting it was frozen again. This occurs multiple times, but then it started suddenly to sync again, downloading the files. Again I'm wondering about the list of files that appears. It seems all files from all projects listed even if they were not loaded but skipped.

If the app is "frozen" (app interface is still displayed) I would try to let it keep working until it finishes what it's doing. If you force-quit it in the middle of that, it might have to start over with that task, or it might be left with corrupted data and then you'll have to remove the account and add it again. If the app crashes (app interface goes away and you see the device home screen) then that might be unavoidable.

I'm looking into breaking the initial download into smaller chunks automatically for all accounts.
