Severe issue with iOS 17.7.7

I received multiple help tickets today about Set List Maker not seeing saved data after updating to iOS 17.7.7. Apparently this is an iOS issue that affects all apps:

If you are using iOS 17, I recommend skipping the 17.7.7 update. If you have automatic software updates turned on, you can turn that off in the iOS Settings app at General > Software Update > Automatic Updates.

If you already updated to iOS 17.7.7 and are seeing this problem, you can downgrade to iOS 17.7.6, but you should only do that if you have a device backup from 17.7.6, or manual backups from the Export Database function for each of your databases.

If you are seeing this problem and are able to wait for the next iOS update, I'm guessing that as long as you didn't delete and reinstall Set List Maker, your data will reappear. But to be sure, you could restore a computer or iCloud backup now, then not open Set List Maker until the fix is released.

If you are seeing this problem and do not have backups, you can wait for the next iOS update and hope your data reappears.

You should NOT delete and reinstall the app, because that will not fix the problem but will prevent your data from reappearing after the problem is fixed. If you already deleted and reinstalled Set List Maker and you have a computer or iCloud backup from before that, you should restore to that backup now, before the backup is overwritten.

Update: Apple has stopped distributing iOS 17.7.7, so it seems they are aware of the issue.

iOS 17.7.8 is now available and should fix this problem. If you update to iOS 17.7.8 and your data still doesn't appear, please submit a help ticket and describe what you have done in the app since the problem started:
